Dickens Brought Back To Life – Great Expectations
A fantastic, classic, British tale accepted world wide has been brought back to life with the help of our veteran stars, including Acadamy Award nominees Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Feinnes, Robbie Coltrane and newbie Jeremy Irvine (War Horse).
Great Expectaions is the classic adaptation written by Charles Dickesn (if you didn’t know) about a young orphan who falls in love with Miss Havisham’s adopted daughter, who later on mysteriously finds himself with a huge sum of wealth and becomes a gentleman, but Miss Havisham is a woman scorned… (you know the rest)
Great Expectations is quite like Romeo and Juliet. Their adaptations have been thrown left right and center, however this time, with the help of Director Mike Newell (seriously, did all of the Harry Potter cast and crew assume they just wasn’t finished with the Potter series and decided to create and 8th Potter? Harry Potter and The Great Expectations maybe?) stirring the old and the new with a tad bit of glamour, this is yet another film that has Oscar written all over it.
